INN & OUT: VIENNA, AUSTRIA
If stunning architecture is your thing… you’ll love Vienna!
I wish I had more time here, but in the 24 hours I had…
Scroll down to see where I’d go again:
HOTELS:
Ritz Carlton: Yes, of course… the Ritz, duh!? I was blessed with the opportunity to stay here. It has a rooftop bar that was lovely and a connect cocktail joint called ‘D-Bar’ that was actually fantastic. Held strong w/ other craft cocktail bars making whatever I could come up with. Breakfast was also inlcuded here and we found the hotel to be very conducive to walkability.
LIBATIONS:
D-Bar: Connected to the Ritz Carlton, this place was no ordinary hotel bar. Their craft cocktails were competitive with some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff and mixologists were also very personable.
Needle Vinyl Bar: We stumbled upon this little spot and thought it was a great concept. Anything vinyl and cocktails, right?
They did say occasionally when the place really gets going the owner will play music and keep the bar open late.
ACTIVITIES:
Austrian National Library: This was one of the most incredible libraries I’ve ever scene. I know you’re thinking, who goes on a European adventure to see a library? Put this on your list and bring a camera.
COFFEE & DESSERT:
Demel Cafe: A cultural & culinary institution for desserts & cakes! The business dates back to 1786. Whoa.
Tip: If you just want to try, you can walk right in… but to sit? Get there early as long lines develop.
Cheers, gents!
